Katie Read, LCSW

Katie Read is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who earned her Master of Science in Social Work degree at The University of Texas at Austin. She previously worked in non-profit and private practice settings serving communities in Austin and rural East Texas.

Katie specializes in providing therapy for adults experiencing grief and loss, stress, trauma, shame, and life adjustments. She also has experience working with the LGBTQIA2+ community and individuals from diverse backgrounds to address a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, self-esteem/self-worth, body image, and relationship difficulties. She utilizes evidence-based practices including Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, based on the unique needs and focuses of each client.

Katie is committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive space where individuals can discover hope and experience transformation at their own pace. Through a collaborative therapeutic partnership, she supports clients in exploring, processing, and finding meaning in their life experiences in a way that empowers them to live more authentically.
