Kathryn Malbica, LCSW

Kathryn Malbica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is a dedicated and compassionate therapist with over fifteen years of experience. She received her master’s degree from the University of Utah and started her career working in hospice providing grief counseling to families. She has experience working in outpatient, in home and school settings applying evidence-based practices to individuals, couples, and families with a history of encouraging and empowering people of all ages toward improved behavior, self-esteem and decision making. Treatment specialties include issues addressing depression, anxiety, ADHD, parenting education, mood disorders, difficulties with parenting, grief and loss issues as well as dealing with the challenging effects of trauma, divorce and adjustment concerns.

I believe in meeting the person where they are currently at and helping them work toward their desired goals while reducing symptoms to lessen challenges and increase healing. Truly, life is a journey , in which an acclaimed author once wrote “ Sometimes the longest journey we make is the sixteen inches from our heads to our hearts. “ —Elena Avila.

In her spare time, Kathryn enjoys spending time with her daughters and grandchildren, hiking and traveling. Of course, she cherishes her past mountaineering adventures while once living close to the Rocky Mountains and is looking forward to new adventures here in NWA.
