Adult Psychiatry

Angela C. Chapman, M.D.

Dr. Angela Chapman is a board-certified adult psychiatrist with more than 25 years of experience helping adults and older adolescents navigate a wide range of mental health concerns. She completed her medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and her residency in adult psychiatry, with an emphasis in community mental health, at the University of Arizona in 1997. She has been board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 1998.

Dr. Chapman believes that effective psychiatric care begins with understanding the individual—not simply treating a diagnosis. She takes time to listen to each patient’s concerns, understand their personal history, and develop a thoughtful, individualized treatment plan that reflects their unique needs, goals, and life circumstances.

Her practice emphasizes comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, evidence-based medication management, patient education, and collaborative treatment planning. She understands that successful treatment often involves more than medication alone and works closely with patients to determine the most appropriate combination of medication, therapy, lifestyle modifications, and other supportive interventions.

Dr. Chapman treats adults and older adolescents experiencing a broad range of psychiatric conditions, including:

  • Depression
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Anxiety Disorders
  • ADHD
  • Substance Use Disorders
  • Eating Disorders
  • Women’s Mental Health Concerns
  • Mood Disorders
  • Adjustment Disorders

She is committed to helping patients gain a better understanding of their symptoms while working toward meaningful improvements in emotional well-being, daily functioning, relationships, and overall quality of life.
