Anna Mendenhall, LCSW

Anna Mendenhall, has been providing therapy services in Northwest Arkansas for over 8 years. She has worked in school-based mental health as well as integrated behavioral health, and specializes in working with children, teens, and young adults. Her areas of focus include treating anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment to life and family changes, inattention/impulsivity, and behavior concerns. One of her specialties is using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to treat child trauma. Anna is also passionate about working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and about advocating for issues of social justice on a macro level. In session, Anna aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for clients to feel heard, validated, and empowered. She uses a cooperative, individualized approach to therapy that considers each individual client’s goals, strengths, and needs using evidence-based treatments and a person-centered perspective.  In her work with children, Anna often uses therapeutic art and play as a way for clients to express themselves.

A native of Arkansas, Anna earned her BA from University of the Ozarks and her Master of Social Work from the University of Arkansas. When she is not at work, she enjoys painting, reading, gaming, and being generally nerdy. She loves spending time with family, friends, and her 2 rescue dogs.
