Thalia Ballinger, LCSW

Thalia Ballinger is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been serving individuals, couples, families, and children for thirty years.  Thalia earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rutgers University in 1989 and a master’s degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1991. 

She has experience providing individual, couple, and family therapy, adoption services, trauma counseling, grief support, parenting education and family crisis intervention.  She has provided therapy for people with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, grief and loss, marriage and parenting difficulties, ADHD and substance abuse. 

Counseling provides an opportunity to share hurts, fears, vulnerabilities, struggles, and failures, as well as strengths and successes, in a supportive, objective, and safe environment.  Thalia believes it is important to be compassionate, understanding and honest as she assists clients to identify and work towards their goals for treatment. 

She believes in the value, dignity, and purpose of every person and uses a variety of treatment methods to offer hope, healing and health including solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, family systems and attachment-based therapy. 

Thalia has called Fayetteville, Arkansas home for over twenty years.  She is married with three children.  She and her family enjoy taking hiking and camping trips throughout the US.
