Heather Humphrey, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Heather Humphrey is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. This board certification enables her to treat mental health across the lifespan, which allows her to care for and prescribe medicine for children, teens, and adults. She received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Walden University. Her background includes working in an intensive care unit and interning in outpatient psychiatric settings, where she has experience treating anxiety, depression, substance abuse, mood disorders, sleep disorders, PTSD, ADHD, psychotic disorders, and more.

Heather believes in a holistic approach to treatment, which she believes encompasses medicine management, therapy, lifestyle changes, and alternative therapies. Heather’s goal as a PMHNP is to help those in need and to allow them to feel safe and understood as they navigate through the journey of life. She understands the many challenges of life, so she will work to provide a flexible schedule to allow for opportunities for care as conveniently as possible. Heather understands that each person’s story is unique. She believes in an inclusive, non-judgmental atmosphere where you can feel safe, accepted, and understood. She will work to ensure that the best outcomes are achieved.

In her free time, Heather likes to spend time with her husband and their children. She is an avid animal lover. She also enjoys reading, practicing yoga, outdoor activities, and traveling.
