Alyssa Raggio, Psy.D.

Alyssa Raggio is a post-doctoral psychologist who is passionate about providing psychotherapy and psychological testing for individuals who are struggling with a variety of mental health concerns. She approaches treatment by using a person-centered, trauma informed approach and is passionate about evidence-based practice, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Alyssa strives to form a collaborative relationship with her clients and aims to de-stigmatize the process of mental health treatment.

She enjoys working with adults who are experiencing concerns related to trauma, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias, adjustment disorders, gender and sexual identity, as well as other mental health symptoms. She believes that a nonjudgmental, safe space is imperative for a successful therapy experience.

Alyssa obtained her undergraduate degree from Arkansas Tech University, where she majored in psychology and sociology. She then obtained her master’s degree in psychology from Western Carolina University. After becoming licensed with her master’s degree, Alyssa worked as a community-based therapist for adults struggling with severe and persistent mental illness for two years before returning to Western Carolina University and obtaining her doctorate in psychology. She has experience in a variety of settings, including hospitals, the VA, a college counseling center, and an outpatient setting for first responders. Alyssa lives in Fayetteville with her husband. She loves the outdoors and can be found spending most of her free time hiking and walking with her dog, Russ.
