Diane Boehm, LPC, RPT

Diane Boehm is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist, who works primarily with children, teens, and their families. She began her career as an elementary school teacher before becoming a therapist, and that background continues to shape how Diane sees and supports children of all ages.

Diane specializes in working with children navigating ADHD, anxiety, emotional reactivity and big behaviors, attachment wounds, and learning differences. She deeply believes that behavior makes sense when we slow down enough to understand what’s underneath it. Many of the kids Diane works with aren’t “difficult”, rather their nervous systems are overwhelmed or dysregulated. Diane’s approach is warm, practical, and grounded in play therapy, attachment science, and brain-based strategies that help children feel safe and regulated.

Diane also believes parents are not meant to navigate parenting alone. Caregiver involvement is central to Diane’s work and she partners closely with families to help them better understand their child and feel more confident responding to big emotions and challenging behaviors. Diane’s goal is always the same: to help children feel seen and supported and to help families move toward more connection, clarity, and resilience together.

In her free time, Diane enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and three children. She loves a good cup of coffee, chatting on the phone with friends, working out, and volunteering at her children’s school.
