Daniel Read, LAC

Daniel is a Licensed Associate Counselor who has had the privilege of treating many individuals across diverse backgrounds and experiences. Daniel started as a therapist at a community mental health clinic in rural East Texas where he had the privilege of treating adult individuals in an underserved area.

During this time, Daniel gained experience across a wide range of mental health disorders including anxiety and depression, PTSD, and personality disorders. This experience allowed Daniel to hone his skills and specialize in counseling adults who are navigating mood and personality disorders, individuals in the LGBTQIA2+ community, and helping men connect with their emotions.

Daniel is an insight-oriented relational psychotherapist. This means that he will guide you in self-reflection and curiosity as you explore what has brought you into therapy. Ultimately, the goal is to gain an understanding that extends beyond the symptoms you are experiencing and get to the cause of your troubles. To do this, Daniel employs psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, existential, and other depth-oriented psychologies couched within a relational framework. The hope is to build a relationship of trust and a meaningful connection that allows you to find healing.
